I'm not sure if I've done anything to warrant that much...
Not that I don't appreciate the sentiment, this is just a bit unexpected.
[Well...somehow it's not very surprising coming from Jirou, though, and Aizawa barely even knows the man. The personality just sort of...lends itself, really....]
Let me guess: you've already gotten it and it would be fruitless for me to try and tell you not to go through too much trouble for it now...
Well, figured I might as well check. But fair enough.
I live in Birch Hills. [blah blah there's an address happening somewhere here] I'm home for the rest of the afternoon, at least, but there's no need to rush by any means. Just knock when you're here.
it wont be me but thanks! let me know when you get it!
[Later he'll get a handsome man showing up at his door with a box marked Hirata Fashion. Inside is his genre outfit as well as an all expenses paid voucher for a spa date!]
Oh. Well, in that case I'll keep an eye out, then.
[And so some time passes in this fashion. But eventually--several minutes after the delivery is made and a lot of staring is had at the package that's dropped off--]
Isn't this...one of those costumes from the basement, that everyone got from the library? I thought they'd all disappeared, how did you manage to get hold of this?
[Not conveyed through text but definitely happening about how: an extremely surprised and dubious Aizawa (who may or may not also be more than a little mortified because--he thought he was free of this cowboy getup, jesus christ?? WHY MUST IT RETURN TO HAUNT HIM NOW, IN GIFT FORM.........)]
That's certainly impressive, in its own sort of way.
[After this is a very long pause in which Aizawa has a brief and very fierce internal battle between his new dislike of all things cowboy-related and his good manners, which dictate that when gifts happen out of the blue you generally try to graciously accept them.
Eventually, grimacing all the while but trying not to let that show through text anyway because he wasn't some ungrateful heathen raised in a barn:]
Either way it seems like there was a lot of effort put into...all of this. It's appreciated, thank you. I'm going to need to figure out how to return the favor at some point...
No, really, I insist. Granted I'm not sure how I'm going to match literally replicating an entire cowboy outfit from scratch...but I'll need to figure out something. It's only fair.
'Excited to do it'...was your mother the one who ended up making this, then?
