ah, shit, is the app still messing up? sorry about that
[but as long as this guy is appreciating his cat, chuuya doesn't mind at all. this is probably the single most harmless misfire he's had, honestly.]
it took a while for him to stop exploring and settle down, but now that he's used to the place he's busy sleeping on everything he can find. must be trying to decide what's comfiest.
It seems to be the case, yes, but no need to apologize. This is probably the most pleasant accidental text message I've gotten today.
[MEANT WITH ENTIRE SERIOUSNESS IT'S TRUE....a lot of things are better with good cat content. Apparently this extends to misfires too.]
That makes sense, though. The comfiest object will probably end up being something ridiculous, like a pan on the stove or some impossibly obscure and cramped corner of your room. Mine kept trying to sleep on top of my curtains' rods for awhile...
Getting used to your place though, is he? He must be a very new addition to your household, then.
he is, yeah. i held off on getting a pet for a while, but i finally got convinced to give it a shot.
can't say i mind having him around, even if he's a pretty needy little thing. keeps coming back to me after he's done exploring, i'm gonna have cat hair on my entire wardrobe at this rate.
Ah, unfortunately a rampant around of shed hair is an intrinsic part of the cat package. You get used to dealing with it after awhile, at least.
Mine, though? I ended up picking up that guy shortly after moving to this city. So...about six years now, I suppose? Almost seven. Longer than I thought, now you mention it...certainly doesn't feel like it.
Having a wardrobe that already matches is already a pretty good start.
[But wait, 'the bar'. The bar? A bar......right, come to think of it, he's--seen that hat at a bar before, hasn't he? Aizawa takes a moment to frown at the name attached to the messages, trying to get his memory to jog the way it feels like it wants to, and at length--
Ah.]
Maybe less "pretty used to cats" and more "pretty used to this one particular cat", but I guess that's still technically true either way. If you've got other questions it probably won't be a huge pain to answer them, no, so that's fine.
Though I think...well, actually maybe we've been introduced already, I'm not sure? When you mention a bar...do you work at the Inkwell, by any chance?
shit, i thought your profile pic looked kind of familiar-- you've come by before, right?
yeah, i work there. i run the place, so i'm there most nights
most of the staff is in on all of this retrospec business too, for the record, so don't worry about bringing it up there if you ever need to. most of us won't look at you funny for it.
[Huh, what do you know. At least his memory is still at least somewhat reliable for things like this, Retrospec nonsense aside...]
Yours was pretty familiar too, to be fair, but apparently it's taking us both a bit.
You're correct, though, I have. A few weeks ago with a friend at a very late hour, most recently...
I'm not sure if we've exchanged much beyond a few words before? That's pretty remiss of me, especially when you're running the place...now's as good a time to remedy that as ever, I suppose. Good to meet you again, even if it's unfortunately through this app...
I didn't know so much of the staff was involved, for that matter, so it's good to have in mind now. Actually, I imagine you all must get a lot of traffic from people on the app lately, is that right?
we do, yeah, especially since the other bar i know of that was run by one of us-- well, isn't anymore. seems like the guy forgot. i'm not sure if we've picked up any of his traffic though, i don't really ask, but i've definitely noticed more of us coming around after shit started getting weird.
and hey, don't worry about it, yeah? i was probably busy when you were there anyway. catch me sometime when it's slow and we'll chat, i've just been a little understaffed.
Guess it's only to be expected...a lot of what's been going on lately seems to warrant at least one drink, if not two.
What hours are usually slow? I don't make it a habit of going out terribly often, mostly on account of work schedule, but it's hardly ever impossible to free up a certain time if I have an idea of it. You've been painless enough to talk with so far. [And you have great cat taste, always a plus.] I can imagine being understaffed would make things pretty busy for most. If I know anyone in need of a job I'll be sure to point them your way, in any case.
